Technology Feasibility Competition 2007
Welcome to the London Business School's Technology Feasibility Competition...
By pitching and demonstrating the feasibility of your technologically based business ideas you can win upto £1,000. With two second prizes of £500 each. The competition is open to current students from London Business School and University College London and individuals and teams from one, or both institutions are invited to submit entries.

Eligibility
The Technology Feasibility Competition is open to all participants that meet the following criteria:

The business idea must be a technology-based idea. It must involve a business concept that differentiates itself via a core technology, and it must be a business that could not exist without said technology.

The ideal must be original, or be substantially distinct from existing business models.

The team must consist of at least two people. Maximum size should be limited to five. Each team must consist of one or more currently enrolled graduate students (Masters or PhD level) in London Business School or University College of London.

On entering the competition, the proposed idea should not be in violation of any known intellectual property rights.
Prizes
The winning team will receive a cash prize of £1,000. Two second place teams will receive prizes of £500 (each team). Winners are free to use the monies as they see fit, but our hope is that it will be used to support bringing the idea (if feasible) to market .
As the competition aims to promote thorough analysis of technology-related ideas, credit will be awarded based on the quality of analysis. The Judging Committee reserves the right NOT to make an award if the quality of entries is not deemed sufficient.
Proposed Submission Guidelines
Stage 1 - Competition Entry and Business Idea Submission
Teams are required to submit their responses to the entry questions on their business ideas, along with their team names and information of each team member (name, university, course) to techclub@london.edu.
The deadline for submission is January 25th, 2007.
Entrants should have heard back from the committee by February 10th, 2007.
Stage 2 - Final Presentation
Four selected teams from Stage 1 will be asked to present their finding to a panel of investor judges at the London Business School. The presentation will occur on February 23rd, 2007 (time and location TBD).
They will be required to make a 10 minute presentation, followed by a 10 minute Q&A session. The winners of the competition will be notified the same day.
All are welcome to attend and observe. |
